The U.S. Embassy provided support for this project and the enhancement of museum science, exhibition, education and outreach at the Museo del Hombre Dominicano. Furnishings were provided for the Antillothrix exhibit and for the safe preservation of the rich and growing fossil collection in the research laboratory of the museum.
Three students from Brooklyn College, Karen Cuevas, Natalie Ehlert, and Joshua Rosario, visited the Museo del Hombre Dominicano in 2015. With the guidance of Professor Rosenberger, Zachary Klukkert, and Museo del Hombre Dominicano curator Dr. Renato Rímoli, the students aided efforts to improve and update the research collections and document fossils recovered by the Dominican Republic Speleological Society divers for Project Antillothrix. They researched and wrote contributions for this website to disseminate knowledge about the precious fossils that are now housed and being studied by international groups of scientists at the Museo del Hombre Dominicano.
